This is not a simple one code answer for this question, as there are several codes for the CT Urogram and it depends on what areas were scanned and if contrast was used. As you can see from the codes listed below the answer is, it depends on the situation:
If it was just the pelvis the codes for CT urogram would be depending on contrast:
72192 Computed tomography, pelvis; without contrast material
72193 Computed tomography, pelvis; with contrast material(s)
72194 Computed tomography, pelvis; without contrast material, followed by contrast material(s) and further sections
If it was just the abdomen the codes for CT urogram would be depending on contrast:
74150 Computed tomography, abdomen; without contrast material
74160 Computed tomography, abdomen; with contrast material(s)
74170 Computed tomography, abdomen; without contrast material, followed by contrast material(s) and further sections
The following excerpt was published on Page 12 of the October 2012 CPT Assistant:
Coding Clarification: Computed Tomography of Abdomen and Pelvis (74150-74170, 72192-92194)
In the November 2011 issue of the CPT Assistant (page 6), combined computed tomography (CT) abdomen and pelvis codes from CPT 2012 were addressed in the coding brief–article and the Coding Tip. The coding tip instructed that “The stand-alone codes for CT abdomen (74150-74170) and CT pelvis (72192-72194) are still available for use when the services are performed individually or in conjunction with other, non-abdominal or pelvic studies.” The coding tip should have indicated that codes 74150-74170 and 72192-72194 may be reported when the services are performed individually or in conjunction with other non-abdominal or non-pelvic studies.
